Following the draw against Sierra Leone at the Benin Stadium on Friday which ended 4-4 and the return fixture in Freetown which ended in a goalless draw, the sport minister of Nigeria, Sunday Dare has made a comment on his Twitter handle concerning Super Eagles gaffer, Gernot Rohr’s position as head coach of the Super Eagles, report Searhsport.org.
In is word “The performance of the Super Eagles from their last two matches calls to question the suitability and competences of Technical Adviser, Rohr. Nigerian football deserves better. The needful will be done. Apologies to all football lovers.”
One could conclude that the sport minister is not a fan of Gernot Rohr and one could smell a sack to the Super Eagles gaffer.
Up next for the eagles is a match against Benin, an away match which will take place in March and finally a home match against Lesotho to conclude the Afcon qualifier.
The eagles are without a win this year which could affect the FIFA ranking.
